Gather Festival 2019

On Thursday, we were invited to speak at the Gather Festival in Stockholm. Gather is an innovation and inspiration festival that is definitely not your average conference thanks to its intriguing line-up with speakers and artists. Talking to me were there and shared how you could create business and user value in a voice-first world.

Gather is an innovation and inspiration festival that is definitely not your average conference thanks to its intriguing line-up with speakers and artists. How to create 24-hour cities, if new technologies can save our future and whether the world is flat or not were subjects to some of the presentations, before the day was finished off with a music festival at Trädgården.

Talking to me were a part of the session “The Dawn of Zero Touch Interfaces”, that aimed to discuss how touch interfaces are replaced by other interfaces such as voice, sound and the human mind, just to name a few. Our team member, Diana Mosa, shared her insights about Voice technology; how Voice har the potential to democratize the use of technology but also how the error rates are higher for people with a different ethnical background, something that goes against the idea of it being accessible for everyone. The importance of having an inclusive mindset from start when working with Voice assistants was brought up but also how this type of thinking could be applied to all creative fields.

Thank you to the organizers of Gather – Jakob Grandin, Paulina Modlitba and co – we won’t miss a Gather Festival from now on.
